Perpetuate Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

Since October of 2021 the 5Riders have been gathering every month to learn more about the Constitution, our founding documents and our role as an engaged citizen. The one - two hour sessions are structured around the Hillsdale online curriculum, with about one half hour of online content followed by group discussion. Guest speakers have also been included in our programming to enhance provide additional insight on specific topics. We work to stay within the one hour time frame but it is not uncommon for the group discussion to go longer.

Our selection of materials have followed; Constitution 101, American Citizenship and Its Decline,  The Great American Story: A Land of Hope, and the Ashbrook Course "The American Idea" which takes an in depth look at 3 documents; The Declaration of Independence, The Gettysburg Address, and the Martin Luther King Jr. speech "I Have a Dream".  Additional curriculum is being evaluated and added on a regular basis to help those who want to learn more about our founding documents and the American Idea in order to preserve and perpetuate Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Providing education on our founding documents in group sessions and procuring various resources has helped 100's learn more and be more confident in their knowledge about our liberties and freedoms. Getting those documents in the hands of our youth is also a focus of our mission. Over the past 2 years we have given over 6,000 pocket constitutions to school students and adults across Wisconsin. Working with the 917 Society we hope to be able to double that number in 2024.
